MOVIE NIGHT AND CANDY HUNT
There are so many great Halloween classics and even new ones to enjoy! There’s, of course, all the Disney classics, like Hocus Pocus, or new-ish ones like Hotel Transylvania! If your family is really into movies, you could do a marathon with all the Ghostbusters! Of course, a movie night isn’t complete without your comfiest clothes and snacks… if you’re a matching pajama family, Target has the most fun glow-in-the-dark sets that come as mummies or skeletons! For the snacks, before the movies start, you can make the night extra special by doing a candy hunt! Buy all the family’s favorite candy and hide them throughout the house – set a timer and hunt!!
PUMPKIN CARVING AND DECORATING
This is probably already on your list for activities, but I couldn’t resist sharing a few ideas and finds to make it easier!! For traditional carving, I’ve found that stencils make it even more fun because there are different difficulties for the designs, adding a new level of intrigue! And now, pumpkin painting is becoming a trend, which is a great option for families with younger littles. I love this monster paint kit, and Target has faux pumpkins that are even easier than grabbing one from a patch!
SPOOKY DECORATED HOUSE HUNT
This one is a little different, but we do it for Christmas lights, so why not do it for the spooky season?! I feel like every year, more and more people decorate for Halloween! Pro-tip: when you’re driving around town and running errands, make a mental note of where some of the best decor displays already are to save yourself the hassle. That way, you won’t end up with bored kids in the backseat while you’re just driving around.
Spice it up even more with a Halloween playlist and a special road drink (like these super fun hot cocoa drink bombs) or snacks!
