Apparently I’m all about the blog hops because this is my second one this week! For this one, I’ve teamed up with some girls that I adore and support to bring you a Virtual New Years Party blog hop. The point of it being to inspire you for your upcoming New Years parties. From what to wear, how to do your makeup, what to make as a host of a party, how to throw a party, we’ve got you covered! So for my post, I decided to show you 3 ways to style a sequin skirt, because in my mind, a sequin skirt is the definition of what to wear for a New Years Party. The more sparkly and shiny you can be, the better. 😉
Keep reading for a giveaway too! 🙂
1. Casual
For a more casual or maybe even a little edgy look with the sequin skirt, I paired it with a graphic tee (with some gold writing of course), leather jacket, black heels and of course my favorite leopard clutch ever. I kept everything neutral in this outfit, but I like how the leopard ties it together and really gives it some edge.

2. Business
For my business look, I paired the skirt with a plain red blouse, Chanel inspired jacket blazer, boots and a fancy Chanel bag (because this jacket should always be worn with a Chanel bag, am I right)? Also, if I could own one of these types of blouses in every color, I would, they are the PERFECT work shirt.

3. Dressy
During the Holiday season, Daniel Wellington offers a beautiful gift wrapping package on all orders which will save you some time during this hectic period. Use ”sandy15” for 15% off on all products until January 15th.

And last but not least, for my dressy look, I went with sequins on top of sequins and I think this one might be my favorite look! This is what I would wear for a New Years Party out at a club or a lounge or house party or whatever you kids call it these days. No but really, I like to wear strappy heeled sandals for a more dressed up look and I added in a pop of gorgeous port red color with the bag.
I got my gold sequin skirt from my friend Sarah at Our Life is Beautiful’s shop! Sarah is one of my very best friends, an awesome seamstress, a mom of 3 and a blogger that blogs about sewing, motherhood, parties and just life in general! Unfortunately, she is not selling them anymore, but if you are in the market for a sequin skirt, I’ve rounded up a few of my faves below:
Now like I said, make sure to hop on over to my friend’s blogs to check out their little slice of a New Years Party and don’t forget to enter our little giveaway! 🙂
