As you know, I’ve been slowly but surely working on some home decor projects for our rental house. Let me tell you, after our recent garage sale, our house is a complete mess as we still need to take half the things to donations so they are currently sitting in our living room. That and the boxes upon empty boxes from the packages I receive that are thrown all over the house, it’s been a nightmare to navigate. But the other night, our son went to VBS with his friends after school, my husband babywore Vivian, and we cleaned up the whole first floor and I finally got our front porch set up!! 🙂 It felt good to get these things that have been lingering done, now comes the hard part of keeping it clean.
For my front porch, I decided to go with a Summery look because I always love bright pops of color in my decor. I received this Lavery Accent Table (so cool because it becomes a detachable tray too) and these Outdoor Pillows from Dot & Bo and ran with it! I’ve always wanted Adirondack chairs because they look so comfortable and found these green ones on sale at our local grocery store. It coordinated well with the floral pillow. I added a tassel garland from Studio Mucci to give it a little festive flair and I just love how it really adds a punch of color (we don’t leave it hung up all the time, especially when its rainy, but it’s fun little addition once in awhile, like when we have guests coming over). The super cute Melamine platter is from Ampersand, I have a couple of them and they are my faves as serving platters for drinks or appetizers, LOVE!
The porch is our favorite place to watch our kids play outside on the grass or just to relax and have a drink. And now that it’s all prettified, it just gives me all the more reason to go outside!! 🙂
