Ever since I started back at work a couple months ago, we had to make the switch from exclusively nursing to pretty much exclusively bottle feeding. We have 2 sets of bottles to feed our little almost 7 month old girl and she eats about 5 oz every 4 hours or so (and usually sleeps through the night)! 🙂 Along with that, I also pump pretty much around the same time she feeds, so it’s a lot of work and time but so worth it!! When it comes to bottle feeding, one of the things that has made my life easier is the Boon Suds Bottle Washer. It’s basically this little gadget that you fill with soap and water and then push your bottle down on it and a brush comes up into the bottle with the soapy water sprayed into it and it clean, clean, cleans! It’s basically a one pump cleaning operation. Normally, I would get soap and water on a sponge and scrub inside the bottle, and then follow with a bottle brush (although I have to admit that sometimes I was lazy to do that second step with the bottle brush). But with the Boon Suds Bottle Washer, it does both steps in 1! 🙂
Once I am done washing her bottles and parts, I love letting everything dry in our Boon Grass, Countertop Drying Rack. We’ve actually had this thing for years now as we also use it to dry my 3 year old son’s cups and utensils as well. And it just makes the countertops look pretty and makes things convenient for whenever my kids are thirsty or hungry RIGHT away, to grab all the bottle parts/cups/utensils to feed them immediately.
Cool, isn’t it (excuse the dirty sink basin…)? I really do appreciate the little things that make my life just a little bit easier because as you know, I am quite the busy mama! Are there any feeding/bottle washing gadgets or techniques that you have found that have worked well for you? Would love to hear about them!
