Today I am excited to introduce you to a new blog called The Haute Cookie! I first met Sooae in California through my SIL a few years ago and ever since we’ve kept in touch. Sooae just started her blog a few months ago already I love what she’s doing. She blogs about her sophisticated and sleek fashion, yummy treats she whips up in the kitchen, beauty, and DIYS.

1) Tell us a little bit about yourself and why you decided to start a blog?
Hi! My name is Sooae, and I am the mother to two beautiful little girls. That is who I identify myself as. They are my world, and nothing makes me happier than making sure that my family is happy. There’s no greater feeling of fulfillment than seeing my family really enjoy something that was made from the heart, by my own hands. As a young girl food always brought our family close together. We would eat, laugh, and just share life. Having a family of my own, I started to incorporate my mother’s values and I enjoyed it so much it became a hobby.

My other passion in life is fashion. I have always appreciated and enjoyed it, and like being a foodie, I certainly am no professional or expert! I think that’s whats so great about fashion, you can really wear your heart on your sleeve and express yourself in so many ways. Family and friends always told me that I should start a blog to document and share all of my ideas. I’m actually a very private person, and it was a hard decision to make, but I decided that it was time to step outside of my comfort zone and just do it! I am having a lot of fun, and feel blessed to now have an outlet to share my passions, and express my individuality.

2) What is your favorite thing about being a mama?
Wow, that’s a tough question. There are SO many things that I love about being a mommy. I love the look of joy that I see on both of my daughter’s faces every time they see me for the first time every morning. Just seeing how much they have missed me, and how excited they are to see me just makes me melt inside.

3) Which current fashion trends are you loving?
Even though it is starting to warm up, I seem to be constantly gravitated to clothing with different texture these days…I’m really loving chanel-esque looking tweed blazers with a pair of dark skinnies. I love that modern, elegant, and polished look.

4) What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
I love ice cream! It’s my favorite sweet treat! That’s why it is so hard to choose between all of the flavors out there!! If I had to narrow it down to two, I love chocolate just as much as I love vanilla.
