I don’t know a person that *snorts* more frequently or louder than Ruthanne, on twitter.  I wish I could hear it in person.  Ruthanne is one cool, classy, hilarious momma who ruffles the frosting on her cakes like she ruffles her infamous dSLR camera straps.  If you have a dSLR, your camera probably came with a cheapo strap.  Ruthanne makes all sorts of covers that make you look stylish (not to mention your neck will thank you) while you’re photographing those oh-so-precious moments.  And there’s nothing like a little personalization when everyone and their mother is buying a dSLR these days, am I right?

{MEET RUTHANNE}

1) Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My family is a modern day Brady Bunch. When hubby and I met, I was a single mother of one and he was a single father of three. Now, after thirteen years of marriage, we’ve added four more children to our number and become convinced of the necessity of caffeine!

Here are some randomly random things about me . . . .

I homeschool.

I’ve been known to eat chocolate chips straight out of the bag.

I listen to classical music.

I love the arts.

I devour good literature.

I’m a compulsive baker.

I heart old, B&W movies.

My drug of choice is the Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks (Grande, please).

Show tunes make me happy.

I enjoy hiding behind my Nikon.

I dearly love to laugh.

2) What gave you the idea to start selling camera straps?
My friend started making some camera strap slip covers back in February and I wondered if I could make some. Once I started, I couldn’t stop. I was giving so many camera strap covers away I figured I might as well sell them. And I kinda needed to cover all the expense from the obsessive fabric shopping I was doing. *snort*

3) How did you come up with your blog/shop name?
Short answer: It just came to me. *snort*

Long{er} answer: Both my blog and my shop are just an extension of who I am – how I think. I want each product to reflect me in someway. My personality, my quirks, my loves, my hopes.

4) What activities do you like doing with your family?
From an outsider’s perspective, our family probably looks pretty boring. We don’t “do” a whole lot. We just hang out, watch movies, play games, read books, and snuggle on the couch. This homebody loves it.

Ooooh. Anything really, really chocolaty.
