MOVIE NIGHT AND PJ’S
There are so many great Christmas classics and even new ones to enjoy! Of course, who can get over all the classics, like The Grinch, Home Alone, Elf, Santa Claus, Christma Vacation… the list goes on! If your family is really into movies, or maybe there are some classics your kids haven’t seen, you can do a favorites day where you watch each person’s favorite or new find!! Of course, a movie night isn’t complete without your comfiest clothes and snacks… if you’re a matching pajama family, Target and Walmart once again have you covered! For the snacks, before the movies start, you can make the night extra special by doing a candy hunt! Buy all the family’s favorite candy and hide them throughout the house – set a timer and hunt!! Or make a special trip to the gas station for everyone’s favorite!
GINGERBREAD HOUSES + COOKIE DECORATING
This is, again, a classic and probably already on your list but I couldn’t help sharing some recent finds to make it a little more fun or a little easier on you!! While I LOVE cookies from scratch, especially Christmas cookies, it can be hard to find the time or maybe I just want to avoid the mess… (lol). But these cookie kits from Target are amazing and make it so easy for a fun decorating night. Not to mention, we no longer have the same old gingerbread house options but now there’s a whole variety to shop from. This pink one… how cute for a girlie girl?!
CHRISTMAS LIGHT DRIVE AROUND
Every year, the displays get bigger and more festive! We’ve seen more and more houses do light shows connected to radio stations with music, and even some neighborhood parks and businesses do their own displays!
Pro-tip: When you’re driving around town and running errands, make a mental note of where some of the best decor displays are already to save yourself the hassle. That way, you won’t end up with bored kids in the backseat while you’re just driving around.
Spice it up even more with a Christmas playlist and a special road drink (like these super fun hot cocoa drink bombs) or snacks!
