Just a couple of weeks ago, we switched our 20 month old baby girl from her infant car seat to this Maxi-Cosi car seat that is convertible to be rear facing and front facing. I have to say, it was both a bittersweet and exciting moment. It just means my baby is NOT a baby anymore… but I have to say that she was starting to get heavy to carry especially while sitting in an infant car seat. Although that really meant a mean arm workout every time. It fits children rear-facing starting at 9 pounds and keeps them cozy up to 40 pounds. When they’re ready to ride forward-facing, turn this car seat around to safely fit children up to 70 pounds. Both stages benefit from the safer side impact protection provided by air protect technology which protects your child where it’s needed most, around the head. I also love that it is made of premium self-wicking fabrics that deodorize and draw liquids away from the skin, because quite frankly, she used to get REAL sweaty in her old car seat.
I have to say, once we made the switch, she was all sorts of happy. I think that she loves that it makes her feel “big” and it’s one step closer to being seated just like her brother.
