Mommy and Me Capes, Cardigans and Coats + Giveaway!

Hands down, the most necessary pieces of clothing for cold weather is capes, cardigans and coats. I LOVE layering with cardigans and pretty much have a goal to own a cardigan in every color for me and Vivian, although it’s tougher for Vivian because that means I need to buy a new one every year, eeks. However, we picked up this staple blue one from her from Schoola and it was super affordable as they carry gently used clothing. I mean seriously, sometimes Vivian only wears her clothes 1 time before she grows out of them! I love Schoola because they are constantly getting new inventory and all their sales funds programs at schools that have seen severe budget cuts, such as art, music, field trips and P.E.

And of course coats are necessary for winter weather and I also like to have one in every neutral color and then some bright colors too for fun. But lastly, the outerwear piece that is really picking up in trends is a cape. You guys, this cape from Evy’s Tree is amazing. I love that it is long enough so I can wear leggings or pants with it, the inside is amazingly soft, and it can be worn as a zipped up cape or worn as a cardigan unzipped. The cool thing about this cape, is that it actually has sleeves. I know other capes out there either don’t have sleeves or just have a hole for your hands, but with sleeves, it makes this one a little bit warmer. Funny story though, when I told my “Instagram husband” to take pictures of my cape for me, he immediately refuted and told me that it was not a cape. And that only superheroes wear capes… HEH. If I’m not supermom, then I don’t know what I did wrong. I kid.
