For this outfit, I wanted to feature and talk about JoyBound Apparel. They are a a lifestyle clothing brand that encourages its wearers to seek joy in everything they do and spread that joy to others. One dollar from every shirt purchased goes to The Children’s Dream Fund as a small way to help bring joy into the lives of seriously ill children. How amazing is that? I love this idea for a company! My niece’s name is Joy too so that word just makes me happy when I see it. 🙂 And here are some of my own little tips for spreading joy…
1. Leave other’s blog/social media comments. Comments are like compliments, or gold, in my mind. I used to be SO good at commenting but when life gets busy, it sometimes gets pushed to the backburner. I love getting those little emails when a new comment comes in, so I try to give the same to others too! 🙂
2. Give genuine compliments. When commenting, make sure your comments are thoughtful and genuine. Give encouragement to others, provide support, share your own stories and praise others for good work!
3. Surprise others with random acts of kindness. Throw someone a virtual baby shower, buy someone a Starbuck’s gift card, buy your own Starbuck’s gift card and share it on your Instagram feed so other’s can buy coffee on you, host a birthday giveaway and give away your favorite things (like Oprah)! 😉
4. Share other’s content. Pin other’s posts that you like, repin, tweet about a picture that you saw and loved, re-gram someone’s beautiful picture, share that meme on Facebook for everyone to see.
5. Give credit where credit is due. If you are regramming someone’s image, wearing a small shops item, pinning someone’s content… always always always find the original source of the item or photo and give that person credit. I can’t stress this one enough, it’s really like common courtesy on the internet, but even a tag in a photo or a shoutout can bring someone followers, sales, etc. and totally make their day!

P.S. Do you guys see it? I got a new blog design and I couldn’t be more excited!!!! I worked with the uber talented Kelcie Saunders over the past few weeks and I love the outcome!! I really wanted a cleaner, more simple layout, I wanted just one right sidebar, I wanted my picture width to be wider, and I wanted some Instagram widgets sprinkled about since that is my top social media site right now! Also, I have one featured post at the top, and the other posts are a little bit smaller with a preview below it when you are looking at the home page. I LOVE IT, YOU GUYS!!! And I hope you do too!
