For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you know that we just had our Kansas City Fashion Week this past weekend! It’s always so much fun to participate in local events and to help support local shops and designers. Last Thursday, was the kickoff party at Standard Style. There was fabulous fashion, drinks, shopping and lots of mingling. I decided to wear this AtJollys dress that I had picked out earlier last week at a trunk show event (actually my friend Erin of Pretty, Polished Perfect was the one who convinced me to try it on and I immediately fell in love). Sometimes you gotta have a friend to shop with to push you out of your comfort zone a bit. I’m a polka dot lover and I just love the little cut out and artsy details to this gorgeous and fun dress. It didn’t originally come with a belt, but I decided to add one to break up the look a bit, had nude jewelry and clutch and pops of pink in my lips and heels!
I had a lot of fun playing around with manual mode on my camera and having these girls (Meg and Erin) take pics for me! We’ve actually been meeting up a lot, taking pictures for each other, and helping each other learn how to use manual mode on our cameras! It’s about time to learn manual mode after having my camera for nearly 4 years… HA.And someone offered to take a picture for us too! I love this one of us!
