Today’s #BlogEveryDayInMay prompt is my piece of advice for others.  And by others, I am going to gear this towards those who are mamas with full-time jobs who also have a so-called full-time hobby (like blogging, photography, crafting, etc.).  We are a busy bunch and that is no joke.  But my piece of advice in staying sane through it all, is to FOCUS on the task at hand.  Sounds simple, but it’s not, and I’m still working on it myself.  And what do I really mean by it?  Well, if you are like me, you probably love being busy and staying busy.  I’ve always got a super long to-do list and as things get crossed off, more things get added.  Whether it’s something that needs to be done for work, a blog post that needs to be written, blogs I need to read, staying up to date on social media, spending time with Austin, making Austin’s food, making sure my husband feels love too, catching up with family and friends via Skype/text/phone, running errands, doing chores… I generally love to multi-task a lot of these things. but it’s way easier and more efficient to FOCUS on one thing at a time.  Multi-tasking is OK in some instances, but for the most part, life is way easier if you just focus on one thing, get it done, and move on to the next.  Do you agree?

And a little bit about this outfit… I actually wear my black jeans quite often that I’m kind of surprised that it isn’t featured on my blog more often.  I love black jeans b/c they are slimming (well black is supposed to be anyways), it goes with a ton, and I like the fit of these Old Navy Rockstar ones, a lot.  And pretty much if something else has even a little hint of black in it, I can throw it on as well.  And the little cropped blazer number for Riffraff?  Well, I am just in LOVE with it for it’s many colors and fun pattern.  Which means I can match it with purse that has some of the colors in the blazer too!  Suh-weet!
