As the final days of our sabbatical wind down and reality is soon upon us, I’d just like to say that I wouldn’t have had the past 4 weeks any other way. Spending quality time with Marvin (especially our alone time in Hawaii) and playing with my happy little 10 month old and seeing him interact with all of his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins has made my heart soo full. It’s the little moments like Austin crawling towards me and using my legs to help him stand up, or snuggling up to his face and watching his eyes close, or holding him as he falls asleep during plane takeoff, or sneaking him into our bed when he wakes up in the middle of the night because he is in unfamiliar place, or making him giggle until his belly hurts (or mine hurts) or smelling his stinky tiny baby feet after being wrapped up in socks inside of his onesie all day (go ahead, gag) that I wish I could bottle up and keep forever. I feel so amazingly blessed to be the Mama of such a stylish, cute, happy, sweet baby boy.
Off to soak up the last few moments with my two boys (and family) before heading back to work on Monday… We probably won’t get another chance to take this much time off work until, well, our next sabbatical in 6 more years! :/
